Alvista Metrowest, formerly the Element.  Alvista is an apartment community located in Orlando Florida. The portion of Orlando is a planned area known as Metrowest. This community is just under 6 miles west of what is commonly referred to as downtown Orlando Florida.

Alvista Metrowest has a broad variety of condos and was built in stages between 1996 and 2006.  The condos range in size from a 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom 661 square foot home all of the way up to a 1,400 square foot 3 bedroom and 2 bath unit with a garage. For those who do not get a garage space there is plenty of parking in the allocated sport around the community. Parking locations are marked and not random. The community pool is a large pool and there is a clubhouse/fitness center and even a dog park. The apartments/ condos on the eastern side of this neighborhood overlook a small portion of the golf course. The entrance is gated which helps keep down the amount of traffic in the community and affords its residents a little more peace of mind and security.

There are several similar communities in the Metrowest area because the area was designed to keep the comforts of home close to the shops and stores we have all grown used to having nearby. Alvista being centrally located in Metrowest and very close to S. Hiawassee Rd. is a 10 minute walk or a half of a mile drive to a Publix Supermarket which also has numerous stores and a couple of restaurants beside it. If you fancy a different group to exercise with there is a Anytime Fitness right next to the Publix.
