Windermere Groves in a non-gated community in Ocoee. Windermere Groves also contains Plantation Groves commonly called Plantation Groves West but the main entrance sign located on the Western side of Maguire Road simply says Windermere Groves. The entrance is plainly marked with large attractive signs on both sides and a small fountain in the center.  It is directly across from Cross Creek.

Windermere Groves is a beautiful community with homes as nice as many of the neighboring gated communities. As you drive into the neighborhood the main road is covered with shade trees and you will drive straight to the community tennis court. Next to the court is the children’s playground and if you walk to the rear of the area there is a very short pier that is covered. The pier gives you a place to enjoy the large community pond and its’ fountain.

Windermere Groves contains 123 homes. It is a smaller community for this area of Ocoee but it is still a nicer one. The community was started in 1990 and mostly completed by 1995. The home styles vary and so do the sizes of the homes. The smallest home is 1,743 sf. and the largest is 3,236 sf. Respectable home sizes that will fit most peoples’ needs. In the last 5 years there have been only 19 recorded home sales. This is one of the most stable communities in the area. On average that number should be 35. Apparently, there are quite a few satisfied home owners in this neighborhood.

One of the great things about this part of Ocoee is the proximity of Publix Supermarket and the convenience stores less than 1 mile to the South. It only takes minutes to go to dinner, local gas station or any of the many local shops and service providers.
