Buyer's Roadmap
Congrats, you are a homeowner once you sign the documents and receive the keys. You did it and now you can focus on the most important part of buying Central Florida real estate and turning the property into a home.
One thing you will want to do before you close on the property. A day or two before your closing, you'll want to do a walk-thru or a final inspection to make sure that everything is in order. You won't have to do this alone. Your real estate agent will accompany in case there are repairs required that were not completed and that the home is in the same condition as when you viewed it.
When it comes to utilities and services, your real estate agent can help you to change utilities and services and put it in your name.
When closing escrow, you will receive a closing statement that includes costs and financial details on your home purchase. The title company will have you sign and explain the documents. Once you have finished this the title company will record the property with the tax assessors office. Your real estate agent, co-operating agent, mortgage company and buyer and seller will review the closing statement to make sure numbers are correct. Once all parties sign and keys are exchanged, its official, you are now a Central Florida home owner.
