Tucker Oaks is on the South side of West Colonial Drive ½ of a mile East of Avalon Road. If you are from out of the area look below Lake Apopka and it will be easier to find on a map.
The community has a nice entrance that is clearly marked. The entrance is far enough from the road that even at peak traffic times there is room for the cars both entering and exiting. There is a nice community pool that has two basketball courts next to it and a large central pond and fountain. The children’s playground is on the Southeast corner.
The homes range in size from approximately 1,195 to 1,780 square feet of living space. Tucker Oaks was mostly built between 2007 and 2014. Over the last 4 years there has been on average 21 homes sell every year. That is one home selling every two and a half weeks on average. Normally there are homes for sale simply because of the size of this community.
There are also many places to work on West Colonial Drive. Access to the Florida Turnpike is just 1.4 miles to the West on West Colonial Drive (SR 50). SR 50 is approximately 100 years old. It was the first trade route connecting Winter Garden Florida with Orlando. You could easily say it is still just that. There is just about every type of store, restaurant or service provider on SR 50 or very near to it. One of the places residents commonly will visit is the Publix Supermarket just 1.6 miles East at West Point Commons.
