Thornhill is a unique community in Southern Windermere Fl.

Thornhill is in the 32836 zip-code which is technically Orlando. However, most of the surrounding communities are Windermere. This community is located Southeast of Reams Road down a side road named Taborfield Ave. The homes were built starting in 2006 and mostly finished by 2010. They range in size from 1,882 to over 4,000 square feet and there are some homes with 5 bedrooms. As far as community amenities there is a very nice park and there is a community playground. The homes in Thornhill look a lot like the newer cottages that are so popular in the Florida Keys. The community has a nice clean and unique feel to it and there are 2 ponds on the Southern side with waterfront homes.

Thornhill is a modern community.

Modern communities need access to modern conveniences and this subdivision definitely has that covered. Just 1.4 miles away is the Lakeside Shopping Center. At this shopping center are a lot of those conveniences. There is a Publix Supermarket, gas station/convenience store, fitness center, beauty salon and many other shops, stores, restaurants and boutiques. Parking is normally very easy and this is a popular place with the locals. There has been quite a bit of modernization in this part of Windermere and it is continuing. Opportunities for local jobs and shopping continue to expand.

It would be remiss to mention Thornhill without saying that Disney’s Magic Kingdom is only 3 miles away. The many other Disney locations are just to the South of the Magic Kingdom.
