Southern Acres is a small community of homes in Windermere FL.

Southern Acres is Located on the Eastern side of Winter Garden Vineland Rd just North of the new Windermere High School and 2.3 miles South of the Daniel Webster 429 toll road. This subdivision was mostly constructed from 1995 to 2005 with a couple of homes only recently being built. The homes are nice homes and several are near 5000 sf. of living area. For those new to house hunting living area does not include garages.

Southern Acres has just one entrance and one street.

The entrance is marked with a small sign and the street is named Southern Way. There are only 17 homes/home sites in this community. Just North of the communities’ entrance is West Lake Butler Road.

Both this and all of the nearby communities are in a great location. Just to the West is the famous Lake Butler and the Butler Chain of Lakes. A short drive in any direction and you are at an incredible golf course and there are many here to choose from. The education system in Windermere is very good and the envy of many communities in the greater Orlando area. Just to the South of Southern Acres is the most modern High School in Western Orlando if not all of it.

There has been much modernization in this area of Windermere in the last few years and there is more scheduled. Many people love the lifestyle this area offers. Southern Acres is an example of that lifestyle. A nice quiet community that is minutes away from places others travel thousands of miles to come and visit. Disney’s Magic Kingdom is only a 10-minute drive from your new home. Downtown Orlando or Universal Orlando Resort is only 20 minutes. A buying a home in Southern Acres may be the right choice for you.
