Oakglen Estates is a non-gated community located just South of Gator Island on East side of East Crest Avenue.
One of the entrances is inside of Covington Park and joins the two communities. The other entrances are on East Crest Avenue and East Division Street. Both of these entrances are clearly marked with entrance signs on both sides of the entrances. They are large redbrick signs and very attractive. The community consists of approximately 60 homes. The homes range in size from 1,858 to 3,062 sf. of living space. The community was built between 2005 and 2007. The homes and community look as good as the entrances. There are 2 large ponds and quite a few trees but no community pool or children’s park. If you are not from here Newton Park is ½ of a mile away. It is on the shore of Lake Apopka and has a boat ramp, large children’s playground, covered picnic area, fishing pier and Farnsworth Public Pool. This is a very nice park and very close to Oakglen Estate.
Many people enjoy this lake every day. It has over 30,800 acres of surface area. That is a lot of skiing or fishing. Also, not far away is the West Orange Trail. This trail goes along the old train route that helped make the area famous. There are even a couple of the old rails left if you can find them. Along the way are many stations and one is not far from Oakglen Estates. Chapin Station is one mile away. It is also a park and has tennis courts etc. There is much to do in Winter Garden.
