The Lakes of Windermere is a large community in Windermere Fl.

Lakes of Windermere is located on the Southwest shore of Lake Sawyer. This is a very large diverse community of homes. It is one of the older communities in this area and it still looks very nice. The streets are shaded by mature trees and the home owners take pride in ownership. There are multiple entrances to the community and there are large ponds with fountains. There is a center park area (there is more than 1 park) in the community with a gazebo and benches that is full of trees. It is a great place for a family walk in the evening or a jog in the morning.

The more expensive homes in Lake of Windermere are lakefront homes on Lake Sawyer.

These homes have the Winter Garden Vineland Road entrance closest to them while the Southern Portion of the community has multiple entrances on Overstreet Rd.

There is a community park with a sport court and playground. The park is maintained and always in great condition. The community pool is located in the Northwestern corner and by the pool there is a tennis court, volleyball court and a children’s play area.

The closest shopping is the Lakeside Village which is just a couple of miles South on Winter Garden Vineland Rd. This shopping center has a Publix Supermarket and numerous shops, boutiques and restaurants. The area is continuing to modernize and that definitely benefits the Lakes of Windermere. This is a great community in a great location. Many communities have recently been built around the Lakes of Windermere for that reason. You can easily commute to Disney’s Magic Kingdom in just 11 minutes from the community’s main entrance. Universal Orlando Resort will take 20-25 minutes and the Orlando International Airport will take 30 minutes. The Lakes of Windermere is a great community in a great location.
