Highlands Reserve is a non-gated community located on the western side of state road 27 about 5.4 miles southwest of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Highlands Reserve Golf Club is the name of the course.
The course is an 18-hole 6,647-yard course and located on one of the highest points in Florida. There is a practice course and everything else you will need. The greens and fairways are lined with pine trees and beautiful scenery and the costs are low.
The homes in Highlands Reserve were built between 1999 and 2004. There is a wide variety of homes and although this is primarily a golfing community there is a nice community pool, tennis court and children’s playground bear the center of the community. Because this is a lengthy neighborhood there is an exit on the northern end located on Sand Mine Rd. The Western side of the community is a wooded preserve.
Highlands Reserve offers floorplans ranging from 1,578 sf. 3 bedroom and 2 baths up to 3,825 sf. 5 bedroom 4.5 baths. There is a floorplan for just about everyone. There are very few homes in this community which do not have their own individual screened in pool.
Although you will love the affordable golfing you will sooner or later want to venture out into the local area. If it is for food to fill your home then there is a Publix Supermarket at Berry Town Center less than ¼ of a mile from the northern entrance. There is also several other restaurants and service providers in the same location. State Road 27 will quickly take you to Interstate 4 where you can drive to Universal Orlando Resort or Epcot. All of the parks are just a short drive away. A home in Highlands Reserve Orlando is waiting on you.
