Emerald Acres is located on the Southern shore of Lake Apopka on the North side of West Bay Street. The community is about 1-mile West of Downtown Winter Garden and Centennial Park.
There is no community sign and it could go unnoticed if you were not looking for it. There is only one entrance and there is a Dead-End Sign. The Street Name is Temple Grove Drive. Most of the 25 homes were constructed before 1980 and they range in size from 1430 sf. to 3300 sf. of living area. Living area does not include garage space in this calculation. The community has 7 homes that are lakefront on Lake Apopka and the lots are deeper lots than many lake-front lots in the area. This community has no community park or community pool however, there is a very nice park and pool by the nearest boat ramp. The best local boat ramp is newton Park less than 2 miles East.
The prices are affordable and the homes actually have yards. When it comes time to leave the community these are some of the local places you will likely visit. West Point Commons is 1.8 miles from the community. It is located on West Colonial Drive. There is a Publix Supermarket there and some other shops. West Colonial Drive will have a lot of what you need on it and close to your home. West Colonial Drive was the first road connecting Winter Garden with Orlando and it has since amassed many shops and stores. Just a couple of miles West and you will reach a Super Walmart, Ocoees' Hospital, The West Oaks Mall and the AMC West Oaks 14 Theater. Emerald Acres has the nice homes, the local area has whatever you need.
