Edgewater Beach is a community in Windermere Florida.

Edgewater Beach is located on the South side of West Colonial Drive near the center of Johns Lake. The Johns Lake Boat Ramp is in the same location. Immediately across on the North side of West Colonial Drive is the West Orange Trails’ Bikes and Blades Station.

Edgewater Beach is a community very few people in the area know about.

The types of homes vary greatly and this is very much a lakeside community. In the center of the community on the Northern side is the Johns Lake boat ramp. There is no community sign but there are several entrances. There are approximately 70 homes/ home sites in the community and some of the homes were built back in the 1920’s while others were built after 2000. The home built in 1928 has 9,700 square feet and once listed for $2,999,999 but failed to sell.

Edgewater Beach has some interesting homes and its’ primary attraction is no doubt the location. Johns’ Lake is a 2,400-acre lake making it one of the largest in this area. The community is in a great place to take advantage of the lake with not only some beautiful lakefront properties but a boat ramp for those who do not have a boat dock.

One-mile West from Edgewater Beach there is a Publix Supermarket.

Not much further and you are in the heart of Clermont which is a fairly large city. Just 1/3 of a mile East on West Colonial Drive and you can access the Florida Turnpike. Once on the Florida Turnpike you are 30 minutes from downtown Orlando or Universal Orlando Resort. The community gives you some great commuting options as well as a lakefront lifestyle. If you are looking for a lakefront home on John’s Lake then Edgewater Beach may be the perfect fit for you.
