Blackwood Acres is a community of homes in Gotha Florida. Blackwood acres is on the Northeastern side of Lake Pearl which is next to Lake Lilly in Northern Gotha. This community is not a marked community and has no specific entrance. To reach the area of Lake Pearl Approach on Old Winter Garden Rd. and take Blackwood Ave. Southward. Most of the homes are on Crystal St or Twin Lake Dr.

Blackwood Acres has homes near the lake and due East of Lake Pearl. Lake Pearl is a 16.5-acre lake and fairly shallow having an average depth of less than 10 feet. It is a beautiful body of water and offers some very nice views. There are some very attractive homes on this lake.

There are several lakes that are larger and are also attractive in this area. What separates Blackwood acres is the superior location. Due North of this community is the hospital in Ocoee Florida. Health Central South is a full-size hospital and has all of the satellite offices and services normally associated with major hospitals less than ½ of a mile due North.

We all like to have shopping close to our homes. Blackwood acres is a beautiful shaded community but has that shopping within 2 miles. There is a Walmart Supercenter ½ of a mile North across from the Hospital. The West Oaks Mall is just to the West of the hospital. The West Oaks Mall is a large tradition style shopping mall and even has a movie theater.  The AMC 14 West Oaks Theater.

Blackwood Acres is a secluded beautiful area. You can escape that seclusion very easily by driving North for ½ of a mile to West Colonial Dr. Everything most of us normally need can be found on this road. All the conveniences of modern living minutes away from a Blackwood Acres home.
